Game 4 in Salt Lake City. The Utaz Jazz survived a late wave of 3-pointers by Los Angeles and an overtime period to stop the Lakers 123-115. Kobe Bryant had his usual points (33) despite playing with back spasms and got a lot of support from his teammates. But Utah out played them just enough times to win game four. The Jazz out shot the Lakers at the free throw line 82%-56% which had to make a difference. Carlos Boozer was off his game again, unlike game three, but Deron Williams picked up the slack with 29 points and 14 assists. Mehmet Okur boosted the Jazz with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The highlight of the game was when Ronnie Price of the Jazz blocked Luke Walton's shot from behind. Walton was all alone and was about to dunk the shot. The series is tied 2-2. Next: Game 5, Wednesday, Los Angeles, 10:30 p.m. ET (TNT).
Game 4 in San Antonio. I told you not to count these guys out. The San Antonio Spurs have come back to tie the series with New Orleans 2-2. They won game four as a team (the best way to win). The Spurs out shot the Hornets (51%-40%), out rebounded them, and had more assists. On defense, they held N.O. to only 40% and Chris Paul to only 23 points. Duncan and Parker had 22 and 21 points respectively, with Ginobili, Finley and Udoka backing them up. Next: Game 5, Tuesday, New Orleans, 9:30 p.m. ET (TNT).
