I believe this is the first time an 8th seed has taken a first seed to a seventh game. In losing to the Hawks, the Celtics now have to close out the Hawks in game seven in Boston. Both the Celtics and Hawks have won at home in the series which is tied at 3-3. Boston will win game seven, but Atlanta will have proven that they can play with the big boys. The Hawks will probably see a lot of playoff action in the future.
Cleveland finally closed its series against a tough Washington team by defeating the Wizards in D.C. The Cavaliers win the series 4-2. LeBron James, Wally Szczerbiak and Daniel Gibson shot very well as did the team, the Wizards not as well. They might have beaten the Cavs this year, had Gilbert Arenas been healthy. Washington can only get better next season. Next: Cleveland at Boston.
The Utah Jazz survived another Tracy McGrady test in winning game six to win the series 4-2. The key to beating the Houston Rockets is to outscore McGrady! Tonight the Jazz was able to do it by shooting the ball well. Now the Jazz faces another great scorer in Kobe Bryant. Next up for Utah: The L.A. Lakers.
