NBA Playoffs: Boston Finally Advances, Lakers top Jazz

Nobody saw it coming. The Celtics win the series with Atlanta 4-3. But maybe the Hawks saw it coming. They thought they could beat Boston in their best-of-seven series and nearly did. The Hawks have a nucleus of players that will get them to the playoffs in the future. For the Celts, it's on to face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs have been in the playoffs in recent years, Boston has not. I'm going to play it safe and say that either team can win the series.

The Los Angeles Lakers won their first game of the series with Utah. The Jazz put up a good fight though and this series could go seven games. But I can't help but think about Utah's two losses in the NBA Finals against Chicago in the 1990's. The Jazz couldn't beat the great Michael Jordan. Now they're up against the great Kobe Bryant and the coach who beat them twice in the finals, Phil Jackson. History is history though and you can't predict the future with it. The Lakers should win this series, simply because of the explosiveness of Kobe Bryant.
